Fred again.., whose real name is Frederick John Philip Gibson, is an influential English record producer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ. Born on July 19, 1993, in Balham, South London, Fred's early exposure to music came through learning various instruments and participating in orchestras during his childhood.
His significant musical journey began at the age of 16 when he joined an a cappella group at Brian Eno's studio in London. His proficiency with Logic Pro impressed Eno, who became a mentor to Fred, guiding him in music production and composition. This relationship had a profound impact on Fred's musical development, leading him to work on several projects with Eno, including a trilogy of albums with Underworld’s Karl Hyde.
Fred again.. gained prominence in the music industry as a producer and songwriter, collaborating with top artists across various genres. By 2018, he had worked with artists like Shawn Mendes, Ray BLK, George Ezra, Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, and Jess Glynne. His work with Ed Sheeran on the "No. 6 Collaborations Project" in 2019, where he co-produced nearly the entire album, further established his reputation.
In 2020, Fred won the Brit Award for Producer of the Year, becoming the youngest recipient of this title. This accolade marked a significant milestone in his career, highlighting his contributions to the music industry. His debut solo single, “Kyle (I Found You),” was released in 2019, introducing his unique style to the public.
Fred's innovative approach to music is exemplified in his "Actual Life" series.
